It was one of those days . . . . we had a 0% chance of rain in the forecast, with a session scheduled for 7 pm. Nevertheless, at 4 pm, it began to pour. I may have panicked a little, but to no avail. Finally, it did stop raining, but it was cloudy and somewhat dreary as I walked around, mapping the session in my head. I prayed for sunshine, not giving up hope. The thing I couldn't believe, and am so grateful for, is the beautiful, golden light we had for the entire. session. time. It could not have been more fitting for this couple. The golden light matched the warmth these two exude so perfectly!
Alyssa and Doug are planning a beautiful backyard ceremony in September, which, just like this session, seems so fitting of them. It seems love comes very naturally for these two, and when it comes to nature itself, they are big fans.
Rare serious moments . . . .
did not last for long!
Alyssa and Doug also have another member to their beautiful family! Meet Amaya, the other love of their lives! This cutie will be the one of the cutest flower girls ever as her mom and dad get married.
I just loved that sweet little face!
Despite their new parent status, it seems these two have not forgotten about each other. And that is so important.
I also loved our location choice, which was completely Alyssa's suggestion! Right by the Rec Plex, the St Peters City Center grounds are very picturesque and, though a small area, gave us so many options for backdrops.
I loooved all of the beautiful flowers, but purple also happens to be one of their wedding colors, which made them even more perfect.
Alyssa and Doug, I am so excited to be your photographer! I have loved working with the two of you so far, and I can not wait for the wedding day! Thank you for trusting me with your photos. I believe it is all going to be wonderful! :)
