Imagine . . . picking up your life and moving. For no real reason. You just need a change, so you move to a new town, take a new job, and meet new people. Then, somehow, this is when you meet the person you want to spend the rest of you life with. As if you knew this person would be there, calling you to move closer, except you didn't actually know a thing. It may sound like a page out of a story book, but this is truly how Cecil met Rebekah. Just over 3 years ago, they met working together in a town Cecil didn't need to live in. But live in it he did, and after their beautiful wedding day, I'm pretty sure this real life story does end happily ever after!
Rebekah and Cecil both have been so kind and fun to work with, and they are simply amazing together! These two are warm-hearted, exuberant souls who at the same time are just. so. cool. I knew without a doubt, with these two running the show, it would be impossible for the day to be less than magical.
Everything took place at the ever-lovely Lewis and Clark Community College in Godfrey, IL.
I love the silent beauty of the chapel, waiting for its guests.
Cecil was all smiles, all day.
And Rebekah was an absolute vision.
The coral and gray color scheme supplied the perfect pop of color for the pleasantly cloudy, warm spring day.
From my perspective, a first look is almost always a great idea! What a sweet moment between soon-to-be husband and wife.
We had a little time for the bridal party as well as more of Rebekah and Cecil, before the ceremony.
And in case you somehow needed more proof of how stunning she looked as a bride . . . .
Cecil looked dashing himself.
On to the chapel we went, where a room full of warm smiles awaited.
You may kiss the bride!
I love the look on Rebekah's face below, just soaking up the magic around her!
The reception brought no change of pace, as far as the energy and happiness goes. But these two did get a chance to slow down for their first dance as husband and wife before it got toooo crazy.
The toasts were on point, and straight from the heart.
I have to admit, I can't remember what Emilee said at this second, but I really wish I could!
The reception was chock-full of fun traditions!! We had the bouquet and garter tosses, of course, but also so much more!
The shoe game. A personal favorite of mine.
This should come as no surprise at this point, but the dance floor was buzzing!
As the night finished, and we made our exit, the sunset sky capped off the beautiful evening perfectly.
Rebekah and Cecil, thank you so much for choosing me to be with you on this amazing day! Congratulations!! As your tattoo suggests, I'm convinced the two of you will "keep smiling" for a very long time to come!
