Carlee & Colton

Carlee and Colton, what a perfect day this was! I met Carlee when she became my physical therapist probably almost two years ago now, and I loved her laid-back but smart vibe. At some point, after she found out I was a wedding photographer, she began to hint that she may need my services someday not too far off. I was so excited when I finally came to an appointment one day to see a gorgeous (green!) engagement stone on her finger! These two unfortunately had to make the call to reschedule the large ceremony and reception until next year, but they decided to still gather safely in their backyard with an intimate group and take advantage of the gorgeous Creve Coeur Lake Park nearby for portraits. They constructed the ceremony backdrop themselves and transformed the lawn into an amazing boho chic setting. Her dress was of course green as well, and, giving nods to Irish heritage, both fathers wore a kilt. Every detail was just perfect, and everyone seemed to have an amazing time. Thank you, Carlee and Colton, for not letting a pandemic keep you from getting married, and thank you for having me there! Congratulations on this beginning, and cheers to more celebration next year!

Abby & Zach

Ahhh, Abby and Zach … . where do I even start? I honestly couldn’t stop myself from tearing up as I prepared this blog post. These two are so full of love and excitement to be married, and you can see it so visibly, so clearly in the photos. Just look at their facial expressions … even the funny ones, of which there are plenty!! What a day this was - busy from beginning to end, but amazing in every way. Every moment felt like a forever memory unfolding right in front of our eyes. This is the beginning of a beautiful life together, Abby and Zach, and I’m so honored that I was able to be the one to photograph it for you. Congratulations!!

A thousand thanks to my always amazing second shooter, Cash Murray!

Megan & Sam

I’ve never shot two weddings back to back until the weekend of this one! But with the craziness of Covid at play, an open date was a very valuable thing. Megan and Sam had to have three wedding dates before it could finally happen, so there was no way I wasn’t going to make this work. I can tell you, though, I could not have been working with better people for that long weekend! Megan and Sam, and all of their family, are fun, encouraging, down-to-earth, kind, good people. I was so glad it all finally came together, and we had beautiful weather and a day that was chock-full of laughter! The Moolah Shrine made the perfect location for the entire day. Megan’s gown was stunning, and she glowed with happiness. I especially loved the chance to photograph them as a family of four, including the two kiddos, right after they tied the knot. We had a little time to head outside for night shots as well, one of my favorite things to do! Congratulations, Megan and Sam! This day was beautiful in every way, and I am so honored I got to be a part of it!

Thank you a million times to my amazing second shooter, Cash Murray.
